If you've been cycling on your own for a while - or perhaps commuting on your bike - and you're confident you can ride over 20 miles comfortably, then it might be time to try pushing yourself a little further and riding with a cycling club. Redhill CC has a wide range of road rides on Saturdays from Newcomers to Racers.

Saturday rides start at 9am SHARP from Woodhatch Park opposite 'The Angel' pub, south of Reigate. Please arrive 10 minutes early to sign in for your ride. We do this so we have your mobile and emergency contact numbers.

NON MEMBERS £2 per ride on a ride-before-you-join basis.

G1) CHRIS HALL will lead a gentle Newcomers/Social ride of 20 - 30 miles at a gentle pace of 13-14mph average with a guaranteed teastop halfway at Four Elms. NOTE: we ride at the pace of the slowest rider!

G2) ADRIAN WEBB will lead a Social Intermediate ride at 14-15mph average of 40 - 50 miles. Destination - Staples Barn, Four Elms for tea and back. A few hills to consider en route!

G3) JOHN McMULLAN will be leading a second, more challenging Social Intermediate ride at 15 - 16mph average with a few hills and 40 - 55 miles. Destination to be confirmed but there will be a definite teastop

G4) RUSSELL HICKS will lead a Fast Intermediate ride of around 40miles at 16-17mph average. Teastop or not to be agreed on the day.

G5) A racers' training ride of around 50miles but back by midday at an average close to 18mph.

G6) A racers ride by invitation only.

NB: DO NOT WEAR DULL/BLACK CLOTHING!! You need to be seen by motorists and even in sunny weather, a rider in shadows can be invisible to a driver. We strongly recommend a helmet, correctly fastened and Saturday leaders have the right to decline riders who are not suitably dressed or equipped. Wear mitts & eye protection. Carry a waterproof if there's any hint of rain plus two spare inner tubes, tyre levers, a pump, a drink and your mobile.
