Sandra's ride from Godstone

8.30 Inn on the Pond



Five eager riders met at the Inn on the Pond at 8.30 to go to Godstone for the main ride. We headed up the familiar NCR21 route and found a large fallen tree across the bridleway (see photo). Setting quite a pace and going up on to the ridge I received a puncture. Gareth produced some metal tyre leavers that you might see on the Antiques Road Show, at least they didn’t break!



We then went down the two very steep slopes near the A22 crossing. Last week I lost my speedo on one of the slopes and was delighted to see it again. A quick decent down the A22 got us to Godstone in time for the main ride. Approximately 7 miles.
