Forget it all, go cycling!

One purpose of the 'Fast Intermediate' ride is to spot future talent and some of next year's racers were certainly out today! Sean McAuliffe and Gary Blackman who rode so well in last week's dastardly Dunsfold Sportive had the power on all the way. Toby Thornton, also a Dunsfold veteran, was hard on their heels. Graham Tucker and I were hanging on by our fingernails for most of it.

James Hopkins led a cracking pace from the start but had to retire south of Godstone; we were a bit relieved!

We zig zagged all the way to Penshurst to meet the Social Intermediate ride at Quaintways; Redhill filled the place!

No letting up on the way back but then Toby punctured and Neil found the pace just a little too much, being a good sport he told us to press on. Now did he pop into that pub where we stopped for a funny photo?

Gentlemen, it was a pleasure to ride with you!
