Sunny Surrey Hills

A beautiful sunny morning and at 10 am there were 8 very sociable riders ready to set off. Then some Brash young man phoned with a dodgyTom-Tom, we waited and waited and the sociable riders became 9 with young Graham .

An easy roll down to Oxted, via Godstone, you can practically coast all the way. The stop was at Robertsons, one of my favourite coffee and tea rooms. Then a gentle climb up Pitchfont Lane at the edge of Titsey Park. Along Woldingham Rd., right at Flint Cottage, down a stony track across a field and before you know it Halliloo Plantation along the edge of the golf course a little climb up Butterfly Walk and back to the car park.

Twenty-one miles and back at 1pm. Thank you to my 8 companions, a very pleasant way to spend just over two and a half hours.
