Looked like summer on the South Downs!

Ten riders were raring to go on a cold but bright morning at Bury Hill.

We set off heading west on the South Downs Way towards Goodwood. Up on the ridge the sun was shining and we were even greeted by a couple of deer running across our path. After a couple of short sharp climbs we'd earned a stop with a view.

More riding with a good mix of ups and downs, then at East Dean we had a quick energy bar stop and Mat got out his mobile tea making facility. We got back to the car park at about 12:30 where we made the decision to ride down the hill to Amberley for a cup of tea and cake. We covered 17 miles and was a great day all round. Thanks to all who came!
