Trails galore

When I got up this morning, it was pouring with rain, so I thought not many would turn up, luckily by the time I arrived in Peaslake the sun was shining and 13 keen riders were soon ready to roll. Winterfold was our destination today with the aim of doing as much single track as possible. Due to forestry work we were unable to take the gentle climb up the main bridleway, so we started with a steep short technical climb (a feature of this ride) a bit of flat and a bit of road. Another short technical climb. We then went on to do the trails as follows: The Gulley - where my suspension bottomed out in the dip, Three Amigos Part 1, Three Amigos part 2, another short technical climb, Eldorado, Fairyland and Dreamtime. Back towards Peaslake to do John Webb to Supernova, then Vauxhaul nova. A little early for tea we climbed up to ride John the Baptist, before resting with tea and cheese straws from the bakery. After trying to get Cheryl's autograph (she's a model in the Evans catalogue don't you know) we went up Pitch hill where we saw first hand the devastation that forestry work had caused to some of the trails. We then did T0 and Fork right before descending to the bottom of Bkb climb, up the climb to Holmbury Fort for photos and then Yogurt pots and finally Bkb. Thanks to back markers Phil and Robert.
