Dave's revenge!

The previous Sunday, Dave had commented on the lumpiness of my route to Isfield. Last Sunday he got his revenge! However, fortunately, what goes up must come down!

Dave writes:
"The first "Steady" in April saw 12 riders leave the aerodrome in bright sunny conditions although still dressed as though it was the beginning of January!
The climb to the Nutfield ridge quickly followed by Gangers hill and up past Tatsfield church soon warmed everyone up. After about 15 miles 4 riders turned back, unsure whether the pace was not high enough or their exertions on a G5 the previous day had caught up with them, lets give them the benefit of the doubt.
The 8 remaining riders pressed onwards along the top of the North Downs through Knockholt, Halstead and Badgers Mount before descending towards Eynsford and along the Darent valley to the Pond View cafe at Otford (see photo), a new stop for the Sunday Steady with a good variety of food on offer to keep the hungry cyclist going at reasonable prices.
An uneventful return followed with a helpful wind through Dunton Green and Chipstead, over Ide Hill and via Hever, Marsh Green, Lingfield and Smallfields to the aerodrome for a total of about 60 miles."
