Back from the dead!

A gross exageration, but it was a very pleasant surprise when Garham Haysom joined us at the Drome. He is on the bike again after his back operation and taking it very steady, day by day.

It was also good to see Chris Stone on the road to recovery from another nasty operation. Wally Hill and Phillip Gibson made up the party.

Graham left us near Cranleigh. We continued past Dusnfold; fortunately the streams of traffic heading for the Wings and Wheels was mostly in the opposite direction. Lurgashall next and the hilly lane that runs along the wall surrounding Petworth Park. Tiffins Tea Room gave us the usual friendly welcome. Suitably refreshed we returned on a shorter less hilly route via Loxwood (would have been Bucks Green and Rudgwick but I was day dreaming and missed a right turn!).

80 miles at a nice steady pace, rain free and warm. Perfect Sunday.
