The Nutcracker Suite

The last day of November dawned dry and mild, perfect for the eight RCC riders to enjoy a tour of the Swinley Forest trails, and some cheeky other bits scattered around the woodland.

To steal a line from Dave, 'Santa' Cruz had come early and Connor arrived with a shiny new SC Tallboy LTc, resplendent in blue and even more impressive was the fact he'd chosen his new bike to match his shoes. Clearly the man maths had been out in force with this decision, after all, it's clearly more sensible to replace the bike to match the accessories rather than the other way round ;-)

The trails were riding dry and fast and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to fly around the singletrack. Unfortunately on a relatively easy section, the seat bolt holding Lee's saddle snapped (it sounded like a rifle shot) and extracted revenge by allowing the saddle to slap into his unmentionables. Very amusing for everyone else, but I'm not sure Lee enjoyed his festive knacker-cracker quite so much.

Luckily we avoided further incident and clocked up 18 miles of mainly singletrack riding.
