I didn't expect to see Gwyn's car when I arrived at the Landslip car park as he broke his hand on the club trip to North Wales last week. It turned out he was planning a walk while his son Aled joined the Experienced ride.
Kaye and Rick, Martin and newcomer to Experienced rides Kester made up the group, and we headed off to Redlands to tackle some steep and twisty trails. Heading towards Leith Hill, we paused in an area used by Nirvana for jump training, where Aled showed us how to tackle gap jumps. Nobody else fancied risking this, so we headed over to Summer Lightning before working our way up to the Tower for coffee.
We then picked off some of the great trails nearby on Abinger Common including Superflow - all the trails in great shape with no mud to be seen. Finishing on Waggledance where a fallen tree allowed Kaye to show her jumping skills.
