Storm Brian put paid to the Road rides but the Experienced MTB ride was planned to start at Coldharbour and take in the top of Leith Hill, so we could be sure that we would find any wind that was around. In the event, we had rather more rain showers than had been forecast but the wind was not a problem. We also had one roadie along - Matt - frustrated by the cancellation of the road rides decided to join us. You're welcome Matt!
Five riders started but Dave immediately realised that he was not feeling well and returned to his van. So the intrepid four headed for Redlands and tackled Corkscrew, Loam on the Range and the gully below the reservoir which doesn't have a name on Strava! All emerged unscathed so we headed for Leith Hill via Summer Lightning, and then after coffee and cake we picked off some of the best trails (I'll have to consult Dave M to find their names!) on Abinger Common before finishing with Superflow and Cousin Vinnie before returning to the car park. A bit of wet and mud but great fun all the same.
