Come along to this talk with well respected local road racer and Norwood Paragon member - Marcus Brueton.

Find out everything you ever wanted to know about racing locally !

Starting Road Racing and Time Trialling ?

If your aim is to start riding competitively on the road this season then this event on Friday evening is a must !

Whilst there are lots of opportunities to compete, finding out how to go about it can be problematical – this talk, led by Marcus Brueton (one of Norwood Paragon’s leading riders, a top racer in the area, a great supporter of the sport and good friend of Redhill CC) will help you find out how to get onto the race circuits and time trial courses with all of the necessary paperwork and race entries fully sorted.

He will also talk about the different race events, courses, and, equally importantly, about pre-race bike and fitness preparation and about race ethics and keeping yourself as safe as possible whilst using your abilities and skills to be in the hunt for that points finish.

Would be good if, in addition to the new influx of riders that have worked with us in training this winter, that any and all established road racers and testers could also attend as this would give opportunity of sharing your experiences and knowledge with our newer members at the end of Marcus’ talk.

Location : the Friends’ Meeting House (Quakers), Fri 9th Jan, 8:00 p.m. (no charge)
