The Reigate sportive is our home turf event and takes place on 4th July.
This ride on Sunday begins early so we can cycle the mid course (62miles) at around 15 - 16mph average to get a feel for the challenges and places to gain time. There will probably a swiftish teastop but aiming to be back 12.30pm latest in time for family lunches.
On the day, the Gold standard is 3h41m (ave 17mph) and the Silver 3h42 - 4h07m. For most RCC Saturday riders these are achievable targets.
Should help preparation for those doing the event but is intended as a pleasant and hopefully sunny and sociable ride too. A few hills en route... but nothing too serious.
UPDATE: Russell's fast back by Noon ride is now going to combine with this ride, starting same time, same place but probably forming two separate groups heading out at different paces. Come along and join the one that suits you on the day.
