Big thanks to Marcus Brueton who spoke at length to 20 aspiring and established road racing and time trialling competitors at The Friends Meeting House on Friday 9th Jan.
His talk covered getting BC membership and racing licence and all of the associated paperwork/entry forms that are necessary to sort with the various clubs and organisations before even getting to the start line – but followed this by looking at all aspects of personal and bike preparation, as well as race psychology and tactics.
This was lots of really valuable information and guidance from one of the top racers in the area so this was an excellent opportunity for everyone to complement the physical training effort and preparation that has taken place so far this winter.
