3300ft of climbing

rOur Ride started off with the first climb being up Coldharbour and then Leith Hill... down to Forest Green and flat road all the way to Cranleigh.
The approach from Holmbury down to Forest Green was blocked, a tree had fallen down and was in the process of being removed, unbeknown to us at the time the new G3 ride was below attempting to get up to Holmbury. (New G3 I thought was for flat roads??).
We went up Holmbury Hill and met the G3 ride at Peaslake.
Riders were Nick (new to G4), David, Roger, Martin with a sore throat. Also, Keith lasted the whole ride without a puncture to cut short his journey, Allan H left at his request somewhere on Coldharbour with a puncture, Steve, Des and new rider James H.
Leaving Holmbury behind Steve pointed out the beautiful scenery, we all agreed it was spectacular.
Specs for ride as follows 50 miles at an average of 15.5 mph, and as Martin said “Get this 3,300 feet our highest so far”.
